lady in red

lady in red
Mirtha has always been on my list—she’s halston not hippie.

What film characters do you find inspirational? (also for songy, i'll try to check out the fall this weekend)

  1. Ah, I've been meaning to post on inspiration from movies, in terms of fashion, my faves: Audrey Tautou in 'A very long engagement', 'Amelie' & 'Priceless' (particularly the last one), as well as all the Grecian costumes in 'Gladiator', the gorgeous Chinese costumes in 'House of Flying Dragon' & 'Hero', and also Maggie Cheung in 'In the Mood for Love'...

Will post on this soon with pics, I've just been lazy...

  4. Yes H! 'Red' was my favourite too (I'm so glad you've seen the movie and know what I'm talking about)! *sigh* That film is just so stunning! It's definitely my favourite of that genre (and one of my favourite movies ever)!

  5. I feel inspired by the female characters' wardrobes in period pieces. As for actual characters? I'd vote for Meryl Streep or Glenn Close in just about anything. Same with Audrey Hepburn.

  8. Too many characters in movies inspire me, the main few who pop in my head right this minute are:

    Margo Tenenbaum
    Bonnie - Bonnie & Clyde
Tracy/Mahogany (Diana Ross) in the movie Mahogany
Ali Macgraw in Love Story & The Getaway

Im a big 70's fan, obviously!

  10. I love Penelope Cruz, especially in this film she is so stunning and her clothes are fabulous. I thought she was totally lovely in Captain Corelli and Vanilla Sky. Her accent is too cute.
