go raiders

get ready for the snooze fest! I really only had a small amount of scans from Dressing a Galaxy, still not to worry I won't put them ALL up anyway. Here a Tusken Raider (aka "Sand People") Female Headpiece. It reminds me a lot of this Amrita Singh necklace that I've been enamored with for months.

As many of my style inspirations come from movies, I have to say costumes in general fascinate me. In movies at such an epic scale as Star Wars, the amount of work that goes into the costumes is astounding. It truly is a form of couture in my humble opinion.

  1. Wow! I must admit I never noticed the 'Sand People's' headpiece/costume to be so elaborate! No wonder you love the wardrobe in Star Wars so much! And I've been eyeing that necklace for a while too...I have a smaller version pendant (different designer, but the design looks a little similar to me)...LOVE it!

  5. Just discovered your blog and love it (especially your sci-fi addiction--I'm also a sci-fi geek). I, too, was tempted to buy this, but I haven't been able to see it in person.

  6. Thumbelina: thank you :) To be honest, I'm not into sci-fi, just the costumes in star wars have always stood out in my mind. I would recommend this book, it's very interesting, esp. if you're into movies or sci-fi for that matter.
