Victorian Pirate

Victorian Pirate
Ever since getting my vest, I've been in the mood to contrast tailored with frothy white pieces. Spring boarding from the Patti Smith picture, this idea runs through Ann Demeulemeester and Alexander McQueen's "Shipwreck" collection.

Also thank you to Quean for the award.

  1. yes!! i've been interested in that same type of juxtaposition: frothy white w/ tailored black. i can't seem to make it work lately in (a) this heat and (b) what i have on hand.

    great moodboard, -h.

can't wait to see what you do with that tailored vest next. what a cool piece for your collection!

  4. The fashion collage of the year award goes to this one!

We must be in the same frame of mind, I just ordered a Vivienne Westwood-pirate type pleated tunic dress from farfetch. I hope it works out, I have not had any luck with the sales so far this year!

  6. Great collection of photos. I now know what to do with the - as my husband calls it - Jerry Seinfeld pirate shirt - I thrifted a few weeks back.
