Meet up 2

Last weekend, Stephanie of Style Odyssey and I had the chance to meet up again for lunch and shopping.
Not a lot of pictures this time, but we did eat some yummy pizza. But without further ado here is what we wore:

Stephanie of Style Odyssey
Alexander Wang T dress, Sass & Bide jeans, French Sole leopard ballet flats, and vintage jewelry

I really like how her T is longer in the back. It's design details that keep an outfit interesting
especially when the sweltering heat makes layering impossible.

Stephanie of Style Odyssey
A closeup of her vintage jewelry. The necklace has a lion doorknocker. How cool!
I have a soft spot for the bamboo detail too, it reminds me of ghetto gold hoops.

I'm wearing a self-designed dress, Banana Republic bag, Nine West sandals, Baccarat ring, and vintage necklaces.
Stephanie has better pictures of my dress in her post.

Thanks for the meet up Stephanie! Until next time!! :)

Gorgeous dress. Did you sew it as well?

  3. The dress blew me away. I saw that there are side holes, but it looks perfect without a belt.

    You're a major inspiration.

  4. Stacy: I didn't sew it.
    Eva: thank you.

  9. Good job on the dress! I am also a big fan of "tails" on shirts and dresses.

  13. Guerre: I started Candid Cool as my selfish way of documenting that Palm Beach was more than pink and lime green. I did all that I wanted to do with CC, so it’s finished to me.

  14. -h, i meant to add (this is totally unrelated to your post) that i cannot believe you spotted that gorgeous gray-haired woman on both our meet-ups! and didn't you photog her for your candid cool blog? anyway, neat coincidence. i really must mention to Jill...

  15. Hi -h, I just saw Stephanie's comment, that REALLY is weird about the grey haired woman. I didn't see her that day, and I don't think any of us photographed her, but you'd seen her before, right? Maybe she's some kind of guardian angel watching over you.

I'm truly sorry if I offended you by what I wrote in my post the other day. I just read your comment and I agree: as I said in a comment (it was on my post but I must have cut it by mistake) I have nothing against maxis, I have some and I love to wear them and feel elegant in them. It's just something I've noticed here in London, that there are several trends going on at once, maxis are just one of them, and SOMETIMES women that don't look comfortable in their skin opt for the less revealing outfits.

In your case, we KNOW you've got a great body, and I love the way you look in this ensemble: elegant, sophisticated, and oh so stylish. I LOVE that necklace. It's uncanny how compatible your styles were that day. Wish I was there with you gorgeous girls. xo

  17. just wanted to say thanks for the nice compliments, everyone!
my outfit wasn't nearly as special as what -h was wearing. (i was so impressed by her dress.) i mean, i just threw on a loose tee dress and some old jeans, and comfy flats for walking...but the addition of a statement necklace apparently made a big difference.

  18. Your self designed dress is incredible. The simple draping reminds me of a Max Mara/Donna Karan hybrid. And I love that you paired it with white accessories for a summer time punch.

Style Odyssey, you look great as well! :)
