Black Fleece by Thom Browne FW 2010

Black Fleece by Thom Browne FW 2010
Grey suits (very Hitchcock heroine), navy, stripes, sailor buttons, gold buttons, silver buttons, lots of buttons...I love it. I even appreciate the young Kate Moss-esque model. I like how Thom Browne puts his own unique stamp on classic pieces, proof that "classic" doesn't have to be synonymous with boring. I LOVE that navy knit jacket with grey and white piping, but darn it has to be so expensive... :( Though it's not a total loss ;)

  1. Oh the knit jacket! I'm afraid even to look at the prices. I like the sporty futuristic feel of some of the pieces.

  3. Is there a Brooks Brothers outlet store in your area? Last time I was in the outlet in upstate NY they had some Black Fleece stuff! I totally regret not picking up a few shirts, but I didn't need them at the time.

Also, did you hear the Liberace Museum is closing down? I still remember your post about it.

  4. these pieces can be mixed w/ other styles for a really individual look.
i was just thinking how i like that black jacket w/ piping...you know, j crew did a similar jacket w/ white piping. i think it was last fall/winter? maybe they have something similar...for a lot less $$.

  5. koko: I've come across their stuff in outlets, but I don't think BF trickles down here so much anymore. Occasionally BF will pop up on Gilt Groupe or Ebay. I try to remember not to sink so money into shirts, but the jackets are a worthwhile investment.

That's awful news about the Liberace Museum!!! I'm glad I got to see it. I finally got my Vegas pictures developed, so they are all the more special to me now. :(

  6. style odyssey: It's funny that you mention the jcrew one because...I have it!!. lol! The BF one is navy, and Brooks does have their own version that is much le$$, but I had just bought my Theory one at the time, so I didn't want 2 blue jackets in such a short span of time. Plus, I'd rather hold out for a BF one. ;)

  8. I don't think I can rock this hemline at all, but I envy those who will be sporting this clean cut tomboyish look for the season. I'll be breaking out my brother's old trousers and loafers with sweaters. I love the middle bottom and the last model on the right (2nd row).
Oh, and see? I'm using caps and errything...:)
will take your shoe suggestion under advisement.
