Texture and Volume

texture and volume
I like how Mariacarla's outfit isn't as "perfect" or "neat" as the others. I can find inspiration in looks that are on the mish-mosh
side because I'm not turning it out everyday either. But I still like those outfits even if they are "off."

  1. they're all fabulous! I especially like the last one because there are so many different textures of black going on in the same outfit

  2. Off? I love them all. I wish I were this put together on my 'off' days :-).

Still responding to your message by the way. One doozy of a week.

  3. My favourite is the 2nd one. The volume is perfectly mastered, not too overwhelming and I love the shoes.

  4. the "offness" of these three really works. that's the appeal- they're not perfect.
these are great- i'd love to wear all that volume and not trip over the fabric, or sweat to death!

  5. Hey H, I agree with S, I always love imperfection. But, the way I move around, I'd be sure to trip on the fabric, too!

Miss you - think of you often. Just wanted to thank you for coming by and commenting, I always love to hear your take on things.

    Big kiss xo

  6. i love their rei kawakubo-like avant-garde style, but i like how mariacarla's outfit stands a little out because of the modern proportions (big shoulders). but all three ladies are really beautiful!

  7. i kept some of those ladies in my inspiration folder, and those are quite "old' images. still, feeling fresh. the beauty of good design. never in, never out.

  8. They make all black look so good. And your outfits could stand side by side with theirs, I think.

  9. the eye that can edit the final outfit to the level of perfection that the middle woman has achieved does fascinate me, i have to admit, despite my being more of the mishmash sort myself.

  10. I am utterly in awe of that first look, and I love how her hair plays against the black. That skirt is stunning.

The bag and shoes are amazing.
    She's gorgeous too.
