Rodarte SS 2011

Rodarte SS 2011
Many of things I like, I can't remember when I started liking them. As far back as I can remember I had a fascination with blue and white Chinese porcelain. I don't necessarily like the styles here, but I love the pattern, making this more of an honorable mention than a SS 2011 favorite.

  1. I had a minature blue and white Chinese porcelain tea set as a girl which I loved and from which came a love of the designs - I have a favourite dress with a blue and white Chinese porcelain feel to the colour and print which I always drag out for summer.

I think there are some amazing pieces in this collection and I think those shoes are amazing!

  4. I may not have seen anything so stunning for this season than this. Blue Chinoiserie patterns are my favorite--although red porcelain patterns make me swoon, too. Those shoes are worthy of a dance at Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin, where there's the most beautiful blue-and-white china room imaginable! Thank you!

  5. I'm a huge fan of the blue/white porcelain pattern look as well. So much so that I almost bought a Jeremy Scott sweatshirt dress thing that was a little more baroque wallpaper than porcelain pattern, but the key word is ALMOST.

Rodarte's use of it was lovely but I only like the top left one.

  6. The pefect collection of images I needed to see on a day like today! Beautiful! Thanks so much for compiling them. I have a beautiful vintage heavy cotton sheet set like this. I actually saw a woman wearing a dress made out of the same print. I asked her about it and sure enough - made out of a vintage flat sheet.
