Jean Paul Gaultier Couture FW 2001

Jean Paul Gaultier Couture FW 2001
I’ve been combing through Jean Paul Gaultier’s style.com archives recently and one of the immediate stand outs was his FW 2001 Couture collection.
I love how Gaultier interpreted the cheongsam into sleek one-pieces and layered the high mandarin collars underneath tailored jackets. Even though this is from a decade ago, I think it still looks modern and sophisticated--definitely a "china chic" inspiration.

  3. It's still one of my favorite Gaultier couture collection! I had it on videotape and woulw watch it over and over. The back details on some of these clothes were mesmerizing. I also remember a few celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow wearing the look quite well.
