American Classics

11.19
I tend to gravitate towards American classics: navy blazer (same as below), navy striped tee, dark wash jeans, driving shoes, sporty watch, and crocodile tote. You can click the pictures for outfit details. However, because they're classic pieces they aren't exclusive to American style either.

  1. Love the jacket and I wish I could find jeans that fit me that well:)

  2. Great outfit! You look very chic. More and more I look up to this kind of classic style because I'm a bit fed up with the regressive looks we see everywhere. What I love about American style is its sporty element.
The overall look is pulled together but there's an ease to it. You feel like a grown person but without the stufiness often associated with classic style.

  3. Fantastic styling--comme toujours! I've been thinking a lot about a navy blazer these days (so am on the hunt in Paris). You look ready for a chic cafe or day on a windy pier.

By the way, I wish you were here to see the Baccarat Museum with me!

  7. Nanne: Jean shopping is a pain. It takes me years to find the right fit and quality in jeans.

    Aissa: Thanks.

Aesthetic Alterations: It may be easier to find back in the US, any “preppy” American brand: J.Crew, Brooks Brothers, and Ralph Lauren always do them.

Anon: I emailed you separately with more info, but the jacket is Black Fleece.

Odyssey: I don’t think classic has to be mean boring. I like the “twist.”

Sister in Black Frocks: What I like about Ralph Lauren ads is that they will still be relevant 5, 10, 20 years from now.
