  1. It's hilarious how much of an impact that Missoni trench makes--but it does, even in this grouping of gorgeous black-heavy ensembles. A definite lesson about the power of impact articles.

    Beautiful!

    1. Yup I'm not always doom and gloom. When I wear color, I wear COLOR!!!!!!! I love vibrant, tropical prints.

  2. Love look #3 in the first row. I'm a sucker for blazers and stripes. I like your Brooks Bros trench too.

  3. I like when you "shock" with color. The trench is a winner! All your outfits are. And when the "experts" say large bold prints don't belong on a petite frame, well...they don't know what they're talking about.
The skinny-slouch jeans style - totally you. Nonchalant yet pulled together, like everything you wear.

  4. That Missoni Target Trench is fantastic! And so great with jeans! Loving all the blazer combinations.

  5. I love how you explore different sides of your style in your looks but it somehow all feels very coherent...and I have to say that outfit in your "eclipse" post is amazing - I love how powerful the colours look and you made red and black work so well! I always thought that was a tricky combination that could look kitsch if one didn't do it well.

    1. Thanks. Black and red is one of my favorite color couples. It's why I love Baccarat red because it is a perfect combination of the two.

  6. I love all these outfits. They're right up my alley. I've just spent the better part of the night staring at how you coordinated your clothes. I'd worn Theory suits when I was working in a corporate environment but haven't taken them out since. I didn't know they designed a Tuxedo jacket. I'll have to check it out as I've been looking for a black blazer for ages. I adore the Brooks Brothers trench. How do they fit? I've found Burberry ones to run quite big.

  7. I love the first row, the left and the middel ones ^^

  8. My god, you certainly cut a fine figure - I am amazed by your ability to locate the most well fitting jeans and pants (length, fit, styling, etc). I'm sadly lacking in this department. What stands out to me the most on viewing these images is how well proportioned everything is. And I'm a little bit in awe of that vest/waistcoat.

  9. Oh, we're spoiled!
You look great in all these outfits and truly mastered the tailored yet cool look! It suits you perfectly!

  10. I love the second look in the first set, that knitted waistcoat looks delightful, and the pops of red make me happy. And that Rick hoodie looks so comfy, I'm thinking I may need to pick one up at sale time (the men's ones look a bit too plain for my liking).

  11. Hello, I found your blog through a comment you left on Lin's blog.

"I try to buy things that either serve a practical/utilitarian function or are soul-stirrers."

This really resonates with me and I totally agree! We all know that feeling when something tugs at our heart and it is meant to be..

  12. Wow, my eye went right to the Missoni trench - because it's so unlike you, Pret! ; )

I love all these looks. Sorry I missed the pollling process! And what Eileen said (above)- that comment about 'buying things that either serve a practical/utilitarian function or are soul-stirrers': I love the way you write. And think.

Hope you're having a great summer - miss you, Miss Pret!
