Dior: 1947-2007

As the fashion cycle tends to go, the following prêt-à-porter (ready-to-wear) collection after the Haute Couture show is the "commercialized" version of ideas and techniques of the couture show. We saw this at Dior's HC SS 2006 into RTW FW 2006. So how to translate the painstaking detail of Dior's origami/Madame Butterfly SS 2007 Couture show into ready-to-wear? Of course, this is still Galliano, and the legacy of Christian Dior, so there's no slouching on craftsmanship. Dior masterfully incorporated the Japanese influence into the FW 2007 RTW show by producing one of the most breathtaking "wholly grails" in fashion history:
