Outfit Recap: Jan - Mar 2016

Do you guys still like these posts? I have mixed feelings about them. When I think of the blogs I used to read, few do these anymore or the party moved to IG or some became so heavily sponsored it's not even relatable. Visually these are my most “junky” not to mention cringe-inducing posts. I wear mostly the same stuff over and over, so what spurs me to take pictures are when I have a new piece or wear a slightly different combination. But anyway, let me know what you guys think or want to see.

  1. I love these sort of posts. Talking about clothes, talking about shopping or showing just clothes does not equal style does it ? I like observing the consistency and repeated items. I like to have the opportunity to say things like ' I have always liked that black jacket on you. I am glad to see it worn'. Its almost anti-fashion blogger. We need more style bloggers ! Yes to such posts.

  3. These posts are the best. Love your style and the voice that goes with it. The photos are a tremendous inspiration and it is wonderful to see the updates, the evolution and consistency into the present day and as we all age together.

    1. Thank you, I've had it atleast 9 yrs now. Its sleeveless, but I actually wear it backwards to have the higher neckline. The true front is vneck.

  5. you know the "codes" of your style so well.

on your previous post on gucci, i have to say, the new accessories are ace (i love the loafers that are all the rage now) and even before alessandro michele took over, i had been thinking their bags were getting better in recent years after a rather "lost" era. that "kelly" from the bamboo collection is gorgeous.

    1. Wow, I'm surprised @ the feedback I've gotten from the Gucci post and how they are becoming cool again (at least in the accessory design dept).

  6. I haven't been to your blog IN AGES! I totally miss the days of w_r but it's gotten so weird, its hayday since gone for sure. I'm so glad you're still doing this! xoxox, Danielle

    1. I haven't looked at WR in 4514187 years! I'm surprised it still exists. Flickr in general is not what it used to be, now I just use it to host my photos.

  7. I've always been fond of 'style diaries' and that hasn't changed. At the moment my style diary is in spreadsheet form - I'm attempting to wear everything in my closet at least once this year so I need to keep track. I've been following you for so long I recognize some items that you wear a lot but I still like seeing your outfits. If it helps you then I say keep doing them!

  8. I love these kinds of posts! I need to buy a large mirror so I can show more outfits except for the usual IG angle from above. But back to your outfits, I like to see people wearing 'real' outfits instead of overly sponsored i-just-wore-this-for-my-blog fashion shoots. Those flared pants look amazing on you!

    1. I've never been able to master those from above outfit pictures. I know what you mean about the sponsor heavy pics, they are nice to look at, but don't influence "real style" in any way.

  9. I love these. You have a real grace and the frame to pull of more daring silhouettes. What a beautiful mix of brands, you can tell you have a true love for your pieces!

  10. I really love your style and these outfits. The deviations are wonderful too!

  11. Love your BCBG coat! I enjoy these posts. I think I'm pretty boring when it comes to dressing and like to get inspired by others in how they wear something or accessorize.
